Welcome to the WooCommerce Beta Group!

Hi! We use this page to organize testing for the beta version of our Android and iOS apps. You can follow the specific instructions to join the Android beta or join the iOS beta.

How does it work? We post calls for testing to ask for feedback on specific upcoming features or releases; you can install the beta app and discuss here what you think of it. It’s easy, and it will help us to create the best possible WooCommerce experience for you!

Call for Testing: WooCommerce for iOS 1.4

WooCommerce for iOS version 1.4 will be available soon on the beta channel. Thanks for beta testing! Your feedback helps us make sure new WooCommerce releases run smoothly and meet your needs.

What’s new?

  • Order Status enhancements:
    • You can now manually change the status of an order on the Order Details screen. To test, go to the Orders tab and select an order; in the order details, next to its status, tap the edit (pencil) icon to change its status. Confirm that you can change the order status, and that the selected status appears as expected in the order details and list of orders.
    • Custom order status labels are now fully supported and properly displayed. To test, set up at least one custom order status for your store; confirm that you can change an order to that custom status, and that the custom status appears as expected throughout the app.
    • Filtering by custom order status is now supported. To test, set up at least one custom order status for your store; in the app, go to the Orders tab, tap the filter icon in the top right, and select your custom status. Confirm that the orders in the list are filtered to only show orders with that custom status.
  • Shipment tracking has been added to the Order Details screen. This feature works with the Shipment Tracking Extension. To test, set up that extension and add shipment tracking to an order on the web; in the app, confirm that the tracking information appears on the order and you can tap the “Track package” link to view the tracking details.
  • Support for right-to-left (RTL) languages has been improved with better handling of graphical components flipping. To test, switch your device language to an RTL language (such as Hebrew or Arabic) and confirm that graphics appear in the correct direction and placement.

Call for Testing: First iOS Beta

Hi everyone! I’m Alex, one of the developers of the upcoming WooCommerce apps. After extensive research, design and development, we are ready with the first beta of the iOS app. You’re running a store, you can’t always be sitting at a computer, and frankly, some things might be done better on a mobile phone. We want to help!

What is it?

While this is the first step on a longer journey to build many of WooCommerce’s features in this companion app, this app is already providing some useful features that can make your work easier and faster – especially on the go.

  • You can view orders list in chronological order, with status and total value.
  • You can review individual orders with all the standard details, and contact users.
  • You can perform basic order fulfillment.

Coming soon

There are some features in this beta that we plan to add before the release, namely:

  • You’ll see orders and revenue statistics with time period selection.
  • You’ll get notifications about orders and reviews, and the ability to moderate them.
  • You’ll see a list of the top selling products on your store.

These are coming soon, with much more on the way so stay tuned!

How to join the test?

Just follow the instructions on how to join the iOS beta.

What to test?

Try doing these tasks:

  1. Check the list of orders and verify if it matches what you see in WooCommerce Orders on web.
  2. Try to fulfill an order on the mobile device, and confirm that everything works as expected, and that the data is changed on WooCommerce Order on web too.

Where to report your feedback?

Sharing your feedback or issues is simple: just comment on this post. Add separate comments for every issue so we can reply specifically, or write one comment with all your thoughts  — up to you. And if you’re new to testing, take a look at these tips on writing great feedback.

We are aiming to gather all your feedback in the next two weeks, and close this initial testing on August 14th.

Thank you!
